Privacy policy
Last updated 15 September 2026This notice explains what SoLite collects when you use this site, why, and what you can do about it. It is written to meet the Personal Data Protection Law of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (PDPL).
What we collect
To sell and deliver a subscription we collect your name, mobile number, delivery address and location pin, any allergies you tell us about, the meals you choose, and the record of your payments. Payment card details are handled by our payment provider and never reach our servers. To understand how the site is used we also collect device and usage data — pages viewed, steps completed, approximate location from your IP address, and a randomly generated identifier stored in a cookie.
Why we collect it
Your order details are used to prepare and deliver your meals, to take payment and to support you when something goes wrong — this is necessary to perform the contract you enter into with us. Usage data is used to measure and improve the site and to measure our advertising, unless you switch it off under Cookie settings in the footer.
Cookies
Essential cookies keep you signed in and remember your basket; the site cannot work without them. Analytics cookies, set by Google Analytics and PostHog, tell us how many people use the site and where they get stuck. Marketing pixels from Meta and Snap let us measure our advertising and show relevant ads. Analytics and marketing are on by default; you can switch them off at any time under Cookie settings in the footer, and your choice is kept in your browser.
Who we share it with
Google (Firebase and Google Analytics) hosts our systems and provides our analytics. PostHog, whose servers are in the United States, provides our product analytics and receives the same usage data. Meta and Snap receive advertising measurement events — which pages and steps you reached — and, when you are signed in, your email address, phone number and name in hashed (one-way encoded) form so they can match your account to their ad platforms. You can stop this at any time under Cookie settings in the footer. Paymob processes payments. Delivery captains see the name, phone number and address needed to complete your delivery, and nothing else. We do not sell your personal data.
How long we keep it
Account and order records are kept while your account is active and for as long afterwards as tax and commercial law requires. Analytics data is retained for 14 months.
Your rights
Under PDPL you may ask what personal data we hold about you, ask for a copy of it, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where the law allows, and withdraw consent you have given. Write to us and we will respond within 30 days.
